Sunset Shoals

Settled along the shoal filled shores of Placida stands this beloved Beach Haus beauty. Soak up the warmth of the sunset in this sensational seaside residence.

This house underwent a complete renovation after devastating destruction by Hurricane Ian left this home roofless and completely susceptible to the elements. Subsequently, Hurricane Milton flooded the entire bottom level. So, this home has been an ongoing project that we are excited to have completed. This client particularly loves the West Indies style featuring rich wood tones against the classic coastal navy and white. This home features new engineered hardwood floors on the main floor, new luxury vinyl plank flooring on the ground floor, and a travertine pool deck. This home contains brand new windows, hardy board exterior, solid walnut doors, and a staircase to the front entry. The top floor is called the “sunset room” and includes a shiplap ceiling, hidden A/C vents on side and cross beams, and hidden automatic roller shades. The light filtering fabric chosen for the roller shades will help with heat and mildew resistance, and were paired with sheer panels to soften the look. The main floor has three bedrooms and custom bathrooms that were all taken back to the studs. These rooms now display marble and porcelain tile with Pompeii quartz countertops. The ground floor has a sitting area, custom beverage center with built-in appliances, pool towel hooks/storage for keeping grandkids tidy, and three bedrooms with complete privacy from the main floor. These rooms were customized for livability– the pink room for the client's granddaughter, blue and white twin beds for their grandsons with lots of room to play.
